ILF’s Executive Director Invited to Join Global Agenda Council
New York, NY – The ILF’s founder and executive director Natalie Rea has been invited to join the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Rule of Law.
The World Economic Forum created the Network of Global Agenda Councils in 2008 to advance knowledge and collaboratively develop solutions to the most crucial issues on the global agenda. Each Council convenes a select group of thought leaders and experts from academia, government, business and other fields to capture the best knowledge on each key issue. The Network of Global Agenda Councils serves as an advisory board to the World Economic Forum and other interested parties, such as governments and international organizations.
As a member of the Council on the Rule of Law, Rea will work to highlight the plight of indigent accused persons in post-conflict countries, and educate the global community about the critical role that defense lawyers play in ensuring the right to a fair trial and advancing the rule of law.
In October, Rea will participate in the annual Summit on the Global Agenda in Abu Dhabi, which brings together experts and leaders from each of the Global Agenda Councils.
